I-12 / I-25

Self-contained injection unit
It allows two-color or two-material molding with standard injection molding machines.
Proportional hydraulics
All other movements of the machine are controlled by a high-efficiency motor pump unit (driven by an inverter), located in the oil tank and easily inspectable.
Installation directly on the mold
With the aid of two standard flanges, it is possible to install the injection unit in a horizontal or vertical position, either on the fixed part of the mould or on the moving part.
Movements
The Unit is governed by microprocessors that control and manage the movements (pressures and speeds), times and temperatures of the production cycle.
Maximum security
Interface with alarm I/O signals and gate protection managed by a safety module. TUV certified.
Color touch screen display
USB output and Ethernet or WiFi connection with Modbus TCP or OPC-UA protocol (Optional)
Cooling Management
The amount of coolant flow in the injection unit is adjustable via a flow meter. In other parts of the machine, the coolant flow is regulated automatically.
Hot chamber control
An additional heating zone is available as standard to control a hot chamber.
Hot chamber control with shutter
The unit has an output for controlling hot runner shutters. Sequential shutter control is also possible (optional).

Small module for big machines
From the experience gained in thousands of applications on Babyplast injection machines, the Autonomous Injection Unit (UAI) was born: an original and consolidated concept, now adopted in hundreds of installations on machines of all types.
The UAI Babyplast represents a winning solution for multi-material moulding, allowing the injection of a second material with maximum flexibility and precision.
Main applications
Conversion of standard presses into double injection presses
Direct integration on machines or automatic assembly lines
Structure and operation
The UAI is composed of:
an injection unit that can be installed directly on the mold (fixed or mobile part, vertical or horizontal)
a compact trolley that houses the proportional hydraulic unit and control electronics
Connection to the main machine is easy via the Euromap 62 or 67 interface, making the UAI completely autonomous from a hydraulic and electronic point of view.
Main advantages
Total flexibility in positioning the injection point of the second material
Universal compatibility: interfaces with any press or automatic line
Wide range of materials: all thermoplastics up to 400°C
Ultra-precise dosing:
– from 3 to 15 cm³ for groups I/12
– from 16 to 36 cm³ for groups I/25
Minimum residence time of the plastic material in the injection unit
The UAI Babyplast is the ideal choice for economically, simply and effectively transforming an existing press into a multi-component machine.
